I offer a repair and support service for both Apple and Windows computers/laptops that is reliable and cost effective.

If your computer or laptop is running slowly I can significantly speed them up. I can check for viruses and spyware, which if present, can have a performance impact on your machine.

Secondly

I can set up the technology in a way that is streamlined and logical so that working with computers, laptops and tablets becomes a pleasure rather than a pain.

Thirdly

I can make short instructional videos for you on a range of computers topics. These videos are geared personally to you and run from my website.

Processing personal information on the website

No personally identifiable information is used on the website, cookies are not used. The website is organised in the following way.

There is no facility for a visitor to enter a user name and/or password on the website.
No personal details - name, address, phone number or email address are stored on the site.
No financial transactions take place on the site.
On the 'Contact' page there is no contact form for a visitor to fill in. Instead there is an email contact button which a visitor can click on to make contact with the company.

Visitor Information
Every computer connected to the internet is provided with a unique (domain) name and an IP (Internet Protocol) address. GX Computers does not host the website, this is done by a company called LCN. When a visitor comes to the website the LCN servers log the visit. Over a period of time it is possible for me to log into the LCN portal to see how many visitors have come to the site, how long they have stayed, which parts of the site they have visited and what part of the world they have come from. As no personal user information is used on the website it is very unlikely that any individual's personal details can be tracked after visiting the site. The information that is collected by the LCN servers stays within the company on their servers.

What I will do when you contact me

I will arrange to come and see you to assess what it is that needs to be addressed. I will not charge for this visit.
I will provide you with a written explanation of what I believe needs to be done.
I will provide you with a written estimate, which will include costing and an estimate of how long the repair/update process is going to take.
If I need to take your equipment off-site I will offer you a loan laptop/computer whilst the work is being carried out.
